The Brush-Up program at Shore Beauty School is specifically designed to help previously licensed professionals re-enter the workforce by addressing individual areas of weakness and refreshing technical skills. Graduates are prepared to return to roles as hairstylists, barbers, estheticians, or nail technicians in modern salon and spa environments after a break from the industry.

We offer lifetime career assistance for our graduates by providing a listing of available employment when requested. However, Shore does not guarantee job placement, the availability of jobs, licensure, or compensation levels.

Yes. All students at Shore Beauty School learn Shear Success Business Fundamentals, which includes techniques in building a book of business, networking, marketing, client management, and maximizing earnings.

Shore Beauty School Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 17 years of age.
  • Supply a copy of a birth certificate or a valid New Jersey State driver’s license.
  • Provide a copy of the high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Submit a completed application and required application fees.

Shore Beauty School’s Financial Aid office can assist students in evaluating alternatives to fund their education, including various programs available to those who qualify:

  • Veteran’s Administration: The school is approved for Veteran’s Educational Benefits for veterans, eligible dependents, and active status/Reserve personnel through the GI Bill.
  • Lending Programs: Shore is approved to participate in Pennsylvania’s Keystone Student Loan Program and NJCLASS.
  • Payment Plans: Shore Beauty School also offers interest-free payment plans. These plans require an initial down payment, with the remaining balance paid in scheduled increments over the duration of the program. Payment plans are arranged directly with the school and are not based on federal financial aid eligibility.

Yes. The admissions process begins with a Career Planning Session at the school, which includes a tour of Shore Beauty School. You are encouraged to contact the school to arrange a personal interview and school tour.
