Halloween Makeup Tips

Halloween Makeup Tips

Are you among the perpetual procrastinators who wait until the last minute to plan the perfect Halloween costume and could use some Halloween makeup tips? You’ve come to the right place. We’ve got a few super-easy tips that are guaranteed to leave a hauntingly good impression!

Kill it like Cat Woman

Forget the flimsy plastic face mask from the party store. Use glossy, black face paint mixed with a little glitter to draw the mask directly on your face. Amplify your eyes with some fake eyelashes with a dramatic cat-eye and you’re ready for prime time!

Fawning over it

For all of you snapchat fawn filter fans, this is an easy makeup to pull off. Paint a little black nose on only the front section of your nose, drawing a line to connect it to your top lip. Paint only the top lip and add those sweet, baby fawn white dots over an application of shimmery contour in a slightly darker than neutral shade. Finish the look with false lashes and carefully placed eyeliner that widens your eyes for that doe-eyed look.

The creepier little mermaid

Start with a white base accented with luminous highlighter and apply charcoal colored shadow or face paint to your whole neckline, visible chest area, and above your eyes, drawing it out toward your temples. Apply it lighter as you go up and out to create creepy shadows. Finish by placing a piece of mesh over your neck and applying gold cream-based eyeshadow with lots of shimmer for the perfect “scales.” Do the same for above the eyes, applying the gold a little more boldly. Finish with an application of black sparkling lipstick.

 Doll-face

Ever since a doll named Chucky became a thing, creepy dolls have been a staple at Halloween. The key to pulling off this look is to achieve that blank doll-like stare using the right mix of white and black eyeliner. Add rosy red cheeks and lips, carefully placed freckles, and distinct marionette lines painted around the mouth and above the eyebrows and voila!

Split personality

Want to show a few sides of yourself this Halloween? The two-faced look is perfect for you. Divide your face directly in half. Make up one side like you’re going to prom with full glam. Using all the creepy elements at your disposal, paint the other half in the ghoul of your choice. For a veiny, vampire, use red and pink liner to draw delicate veins around the eye and the creepy half of your mouth.

There are a ton of options for getting in touch with your inner goblin this Halloween, so have a little fun experimenting with your look before the big night arrives.
